- Name
The
name of this League shall be the Denton Darts ADO League, DD-ADO. It shall be governed by the Denton Darts ADO League ADO Representative as an extension of the Denton Area
Darts Association, DADA. All rules pertaining to the DADA shall be in force in
the DD-ADO except where published here. All rules and By-Laws
of the American Darts Organization shall supersede those rules posted either
here or the DADA Rules where applicable if the rule is a direct violation of
the ADO Rules and By-Laws.
- Purpose
The
purpose of the Denton Darts ADO League
shall be to promote ADO Darts in the Denton area. Additionally, this league shall be formed to
foster professional darts in the Denton area and to send members of the DD-ADO League to Regional ADO events.
- Membership
Membership
shall be open to the members of Denton Area Darts Association as well as any
person interested in playing ADO League
darts in the Denton area. Membership in the DD-ADO League is not automatic to DADA members. Only members who “opt” in to
the DD-ADO League and are up to date in DD-ADO dues shall be allowed to play in DD-ADO events. DD-ADO League dues are separate and not a part of the DADA
League dues.
- Dues – Entry Fees
DD-ADO
League ANNUAL dues shall be $10.00 per year and based on the following:
- Number of DD-ADO League seasons per year.
- Number of DD-ADO League members per season.
- Number of DD-ADO League members desiring to
play in Regional events.
- DD-ADO League Pre-Season Meeting agreements
with ALL DD-ADO League members.
- League Setup
- There shall be 4 Seasons per Year.
- There shall be a separate Men’s Division and a
Women’s Division.
- The League Schedule shall be a Round Robin
format.
- Games are played according to the next Regional
Qualifying event.
- League members shall play 9 Games of either 501
Single In, Double Out or 9 Games of Cricket. ALL Games must be played.
- Each League shall have a maximum of 12 players
in any individual League. If there are more than 12 players, the League
shall be divided into 2 or more leagues based on a random draw and based
on the number of weeks in the league..
- Super Saturdays
There shall be a minimum 1 Super Saturday tournament where all players in
their respective League shall play when time permits.
- All Super Saturday events shall be played in a
local venue that can accommodate the number of players present.
- All members of the DD-ADO League should play in the Super Saturday
events.
- Points acquired in the Super Saturday events
shall not count towards qualifying points.
- The format for Super Saturday events shall be
the same as the current League play format.
The
purpose of the Super Saturday events is to condition the individual League
members to a Regional Event. It is designed to expose the League members to
playing quality games of darts all day, typically starting at 10:00 AM on any given Friday or Saturday.
- Player Matches
- Matches can be played at a mutually agreed upon
location, however it is desired that matches be played in Denton Area
Darts Association host clubs.
- Members are responsible to contact each other
to schedule their individual games.
- ALL games must be played at one time; the match
can not be broken into separate dates and times.
- Players must play their matches within the week
prescribed on the schedule.
- Matches shall be played between Monday and
Sunday.
- The player scoring the majority of Legs shall
be responsible to phone the results, including Ton 80’s for each player
to the DD-ADO League representative. All scores must be
phoned in no later than 9:00 PM on Sunday.
- Late scores or scores not phoned in on time
shall cost the responsible party 2 points for the 1st offense,
4 points for the 2nd offense, 6 points for the 3rd
offense and will continue in that successive manner.
- Matches that must be rescheduled shall have the
approval for the DD-ADO League Representative prior to rescheduling.
- Diddling: Determined by a coin toss at the
beginning of the match and then alternating between the two players until
the match is over.
- Forfeits: A forfeit is any match not played
within the prescribed week or not rescheduled with the permission of the ADO League Representative. A forfeit shall result
is a loss of all legs to the forfeiting player. There shall be no make up
of forfeited matched with out the express permission of the ADO League Representative.
- Qualifying For Regional Events
Based
on the number of players in the League and the agreements from the Pre-Season
Meeting, the number of players qualifying shall be sent to the next area
Regional event with either the required $110.00 each in cash or League Check.
a. The individuals qualifying must play in the Regional
event or give up their spot to the next person in line with the highest point
count.
b. Any player who does not qualify for a regional event
and still wants to play in the Regional may do so at their own expense.
c. Qualifying shall be separate for both the Men’s
Division and Women’s Division.
d. Ties: In the event that there is a tie between
players that qualify for the Regional event but the number of players approved
by the Membership is exceeded, there shall be a “Best of Three” playoff between
the players involved. The format of the playoff shall be the same as the
current League Format.
e. All “Qualifiers” agree to adhere to the ADO Regional “Dress Code” as recently published by ADO.
- Representation
Players
are requested to present themselves in a professional and courteous manner
whenever and wherever DD-ADO events are being played. As a reminder to the
members, the American Darts Organization has a strict Dress Code when playing
at the National Level that should be adhered to when playing in Regional
events. ALL Members agree to having their names and or likeness (photo) appear
in local or regional/national media.
- Any unforeseen rule or situation that develops
during the League season should be brought to the attention of the DD-ADO
League Representative.
